Issue 1: FATE; Dreams, Belief and Meaning
Lull is an annual print magazine and visual arts showcase based in Oakland. This project was founded by freelance creative director Monica Greenwald as a way to share in common burdens, work lulls, anxiety, life hurdles or setbacks from creative potential and personal expression.
For the 2019 premiere issue of Lull titled FATE, three visual artists made works inspired by the re-imagining of Tarot archetypes and their meaning in the Major Arcana. Featuring photography by Heather McGrath in The Scavenger series, illustration by Olivia M. Healy in The Seeker series, plus films, animation and sound design by Ethan Indorf in The Surrendered series.
